Exploring Chess Engines, Game Theory, and AI Agents

HotHand Systems is a small, independent team experimenting with board game engines and intelligent agent design.

We work on these projects outside of our professional roles, driven by curiosity, research, and a shared interest in complex systems and strategic games.

HotHand Chess Engine

Our primary project,HotHandChess, is a publically available chess engine under active development. The goal is to design and experiment with established chess computing design techniques, from representation and search to evaluation and agent behavior. At the moment, it is heavily under development and not expected to be entirely functional.

How we work

HotHand Systems is a collaborative effort between people who already work in technology and engineering in their day jobs. This space is for experimentation, learning, and exploring ideas that don’t have to fit into a commercial roadmap.
